If you've recorded a running or cycling activity with your Wahoo device, you can import it into REN using manual file import. This is useful if your Wahoo isn't directly connected to a platform that syncs with REN (like Strava or Garmin Connect).
Step 1: Export your activity as a .FIT file from the Wahoo app
- Open the Wahoo app on your phone.
- Go to your workout history and select the activity you want to export.
- Tap the share or export option and choose .FIT as the file format.
- Save the file to your phone (e.g. to your Files app or Downloads folder).
Step 2: Import the file into REN
- Open the REN app.
- Go to Settings → Connected Accounts.
- Tap Manual Import.
- Select the .FIT file you saved to your phone.
- REN will process the file and add the activity to your training history.
Once imported, REN will use the activity data — including heart rate, pace, distance, and power (if available) — to update your training load and adapt your plan accordingly.
Good to know
- This works for both running and cycling activities.
- For cycling activities, exporting with power data gives REN the most accurate picture of your training load. Make sure you have set your FTP (Functional Threshold Power) in REN so the training load calculation is as accurate as possible. You can set your FTP under Settings → Thresholds.
- If you regularly train with a Wahoo device, consider connecting Wahoo to Strava or Garmin Connect and syncing one of those platforms with REN for automatic imports.
- Manual import supports .FIT files. Other formats (like .GPX or .TCX) are currently not supported.
