When you connect Garmin to REN, you get a full two-way sync:
From Garmin → REN: Your completed runs flow into REN automatically.
From REN → Garmin: Your planned REN workouts are sent to Garmin Connect and your Garmin watch, so they show up on the right day on your device.
Here’s how it works and what to do if workouts stop syncing.
What does the Garmin–REN connection do?
Once connected:
Your completed runs sync to REN
Runs recorded on your Garmin watch appear in REN as activities.
Distance, duration, pace and other key metrics are imported so your training plan reflects what you actually did.
Your REN workouts sync to Garmin
REN sends your upcoming plan to Garmin Connect.
On your Garmin watch, workouts for each day automatically show up on the correct date, so you can just select the workout and start running.
No manual programming of intervals or copying sessions over.
How do I connect my Garmin to REN?
Open REN
Go to Settings
Open Connected accounts
Tap Garmin Connect
Sign in with your Garmin account when prompted
When Garmin asks what to share, enable all permissions
Confirm and return to REN
Once that’s done:
Your past and new Garmin activities start syncing into REN
Your REN training plan starts syncing to Garmin Connect and your device, so workouts appear on the right days
What gets synced from Garmin → REN?
REN pulls in the training data from Garmin so your training log is complete:
Running activities recorded on your Garmin device
If a run isn’t visible in Garmin Connect, REN can’t see it either—so always check Garmin Connect first when something seems missing.
What gets synced from REN → Garmin?
REN sends your structured workouts to Garmin so you can follow them on your watch:
Interval structure (e.g. warm-up, reps, cool-down)
Target durations / distances and paces (where applicable)
The workout is attached to the correct calendar day in Garmin Connect
On your Garmin watch, these workouts will appear in the training / workout section for the scheduled date, ready to start.
