On days when life happens and you can’t do the workout REN planned for you, the Skip button is there to help.
Instead of changing your whole availability or just leaving the workout undone, you can explicitly tell REN:
“I’m not doing this session today.”
That lets REN adapt your plan immediately—not hours later.
Where does the Skip button appear?
You’ll see the Skip button on a workout that’s planned for today.
It only applies to today’s session
It’s a quick way to say, “this one isn’t happening”
Why use Skip instead of doing nothing?
If you simply don’t do the workout and don’t give any feedback:
REN has to wait until midnight
It then notices there was no activity and no feedback
Only after that does it recalculate your plan, assuming the workout was missed
That means your updated plan only kicks in tomorrow, based on yesterday’s “silent” no-show.
With Skip, you cut out that delay.
What happens when you tap Skip?
When you tap Skip on today’s workout:
REN immediately treats that workout as not going to happen today
The training plan is recalculated from tomorrow onwards, right away
Future workouts are adjusted to reflect that today’s session is missed
You’re basically giving REN a heads-up:
“Adjust my plan now, I’ve already decided today’s run is off.”
This keeps your plan realistic, up to date, and better aligned with your actual week.
What if my plans change and I can run after all?
No problem — plans change twice sometimes.
If you skipped a workout but later find time to run:
Go back to today’s workout in REN
Tap on Skipped
The workout will be brought back into your plan
REN will recalculate the plan again to include that session
So you’re never “locked in” by skipping. You can:
Skip when it looks impossible
Unskip when the window opens up again
REN will adapt each time.
Is Skip the same as deleting a workout?
No. Skip is not “delete forever.”
Skip = “I’m not doing this today, please adjust my future plan accordingly.”
Unskip = “Actually, I am doing it — put it back and recalculate.”
Your training journey is rarely perfectly linear. The Skip button exists so REN can flex with your day, not punish you for it.
In short
The Skip button appears on today’s planned workout
Use it when you already know you won’t be able to run today
REN immediately recalculates the plan from tomorrow onwards, instead of waiting until midnight
If plans change again and you can run, tap Skipped to bring the workout back and trigger another recalculation
It’s a simple way to keep your plan honest, flexible, and always in sync with your real life.
