If your runs from Apple Health aren’t showing up in REN, or REN workouts aren’t appearing on your Apple Watch, it’s almost always a connection or permission issue.
Here’s a simple troubleshooting guide to get things flowing again.
1. Activities from Apple Health are not syncing into REN
Step 1 – Check if the run is actually in Apple Health
Before blaming REN, make sure the activity exists where REN reads it from:
Open the Apple Health app on your iPhone.
Go to Browse → Activity / Workouts / Running.
Check if the workout is listed on the correct date and with the expected type (e.g. Outdoor Run).
If the workout isn’t in Apple Health, REN can’t see it.
Fix the recording app or watch first, then come back to REN.
Step 2 – Confirm REN is still connected to Apple Health
Open REN.
Go to Settings → Connected accounts.
Tap Apple Health.
If it looks disconnected or shows an error, continue with the next step.
Step 3 – Disconnect and reconnect Apple Health in REN
A quick “reset” of the connection usually solves most sync issues.
In REN → Settings → Connected accounts → Apple Health,
If available, tap Disconnect (or turn off the integration).
Close REN completely.
Reopen REN and go back to Settings → Connected accounts → Apple Health.
Tap Apple Health again to connect.
When iOS shows the Health permissions, toggle everything ON for REN
Especially fields related to Workouts, Running Distance, and Activity.
Confirm and return to REN.
This re-authorizes REN to read your workouts from Apple Health.
Step 4 – Refresh REN
After reconnecting:
Reopen REN and go to your activity / training view.
Give it a moment to re-sync.
If needed, close and reopen the app once more.
If older runs still don’t appear, they may fall outside whatever import window REN is using, but new runs should start coming in correctly after this reset.
2. REN workouts aren’t appearing on your Apple Watch
If you’ve sent a workout from REN but don’t see it on your watch, try the following.
Step 1 – Make sure you’ve sent the workout
To push a structured REN workout to your Apple Watch:
Open the workout in REN.
Tap the arrow icon in the top-right corner.
Choose Send to Apple Watch.
If you didn’t do this step, the workout won’t appear on your watch.
Step 2 – Check your iPhone ↔ Apple Watch connection
Make sure your Apple Watch is paired with your iPhone.
Bluetooth should be on, and both devices should be connected.
If needed, briefly put the watch into Airplane Mode and back, or toggle Bluetooth off/on on your iPhone.
If the watch isn’t talking to your phone, the workout can’t be delivered.
Step 3 – Resend the workout
Sometimes the first send just doesn’t stick.
On your iPhone, open REN.
Open the workout again.
Tap the arrow icon → Send to Apple Watch one more time.
Wait a few moments, then check your watch in the workouts/training section.
Step 4 – Restart devices
If the workout still hasn’t shown up:
Restart your Apple Watch.
Restart your iPhone.
After both are back on and connected, resend the workout from REN.
This clears temporary connection glitches between iPhone, Watch, and apps.
3. Re-check Apple Health connection if both syncing and watch workouts fail
If:
Apple Health activities aren’t syncing into REN, and
REN workouts aren’t appearing on your watch
…then the underlying Apple integration might be the culprit.
In that case:
Go to REN → Settings → Connected accounts → Apple Health.
Disconnect, then reconnect and toggle everything ON again.
Restart your iPhone and Apple Watch.
Try:
Recording a new short run to test Apple Health → REN sync.
Sending one test workout to the watch from REN.
If both tests work, you’re good to go again.
4. When to ask for help
If you’ve tried:
Confirming the workout is in Apple Health
Disconnecting and reconnecting REN to Apple Health (with all permissions ON)
Resending workouts to your Apple Watch
Restarting your iPhone and watch
…and you still see nothing:
Take a screenshot of:
The workout in Apple Health
Your Apple Health permissions for REN
Note the date and type of a missing activity or workout
Contact REN support and share those details
Quick recap
Activities not syncing?
→ Make sure they’re in Apple Health, then disconnect & reconnect Apple Health in REN and toggle all permissions ON.Workouts not on your watch?
→ Confirm you tapped the arrow icon → Send to Apple Watch, check the watch connection, and try resending + restarting devices.
